The Queensland Ballet recently featured their new Boston GP178 Grand Piano in recent studio productions throughout mid-July 2008.
On Saturday 19th July, musicians from the Queensland Orchestra with pianist Brierley Cutting joined a hand-picked cast of dancers to present ‘Soirees Classiques’. The soiree, held in the intimate Charles Lisner Studio at the Thomas Dixon Centre in West End, Brisbane, enabled the audience to hear the piano as a feature, as well as an integral accompaniment to dance.
Artistic Director, Francois Klaus, is thrilled with the new purchase. “The sound is fabulous – a great tone”, he said when trying it out before the commencement of the soiree.
