The Fort Worth, Texas competition features twenty-nine pianists from around the world vying for prizes valued at more than $1,000,000. Each pianist in the competition will choose to perform on one of three Steinway pianos—all three pianos are identical Model D concert grands. Australian pianist, Andrea Lam, is competing this year.
