Sergio Tiempo makes his long awaited debut with Medici Concerts. Venezuelan born -Argentine virtuoso pianist Sergio Tiempo began playing at two and by seven was performing internationally. A protégé of the sensational pianist Martha Argerich, his playing is reminiscent of his great mentor: ‘Tiempo has vitality, passion, lyricism … he makes the piano sing with a thousand voices.’

Salzburg, Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein and Toulouse where Tiempo performed the Beethoven cycle together with Alicia de Larrocha and Maria Joao Pires.

An avid chamber musician, Tiempo performs with Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, Barbara Hendricks and in a piano duo with his sister Karin Lechner. Sergio Tiempo has recorded with EMI Classics and Deutsche Grammophon. A recent DG recording with cellist Mischa Maisky was awarded five stars by Classic FM and BBC Music Magazine.
