DeClassified Music concert in Brisbane FRIDAY 26 APRIL 2013

Rehearsals are underway for the concert in our Brisbane showroom on Friday 26 April 2013.  Cellist Patrick Murphy, Pianist Brieley Cutting and Violinist Glenn Christensen are teaming up to performing an electrifying programme of Haydn and Beethoven in a concert entitled “To Haydn’s Princesses”.

 

Audiences in Queensland have known the Commercial Road Chamber Music Series for the past few years.  Now, Artistic Director Brieley Cutting is skilfully leading this series to fresh and exciting heights under the banner “DeClassified Music”.  

 

Funding is from ticket sales, private giving & corporate sponsorship (including in-kind support).

To Haydn’s Princesses

 

at the Brisbane Steinway Piano Showroom, 60 Commercial Road, Newstead

 

The exquisite lightness and delicacy of two Haydn piano trios, dedicated by the composer to his patrons’ princesses, coupled with the bliss and clarity of early Beethoven in his first piano trio.

 

An evening full of breathtaking Classical moments.  Introductions from Patrick Murphy about the trios and their background and peculiarities.

 

Piano Trio in A Major Hob.XV:18 (1794) – Joseph Haydn

Piano Trio in D minor Hob.XV: 23 ((1795) – Joseph Haydn

Piano Trio in E flat Major Op.1 No.1 (1793/94) – Ludwig van Beethoven
