Two extremely rare, limited edition masterpieces will be making their journey to the Theme & Variations showroom in Willoughby for the 2014 Sydney Symphony Orchestra Piano Sale.
125th Anniversary Limited Edition Steinway Model A by Count Goertz.
It is the very first of its kind to be made available for sale, and only 125 exist worldwide. On the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the Steinway & Sons factory in Hamburg, Count Albrecht von Goertz (creator of the BMW 507 sports car), designed this special piece. The piano features his characteristic sleek lines – contrasting satin and highly polished surfaces to create an elegant, sensual and timeless design.
Louis XV Model O by Steinway & Sons.
This highly ornamental and unique masterpiece was handcrafted in 1982 and delivered to Australia in 1983. It captures the essence and elegance of 18th Century France with its delicate, detailed hand carvings. This 180cm long and 146.5cm wide Model O has a sound that is particularly warm and rich for a grand piano that is under 6 feet in length. Come and see this exquisite masterpiece in our showroom.
Nyree, Ara and the team look forward to welcoming you into our showroom during this exclusive 3-day event.
