It was a busy day on many levels at T&V yesterday, with two floors of simultaneous music-making happening all afternoon! Theme & Variations turns 30 this year and will be holding their celebration concert this Saturday the 14th of November. With 6 Steinway concert grands and 12 top-level pianists – this piano extravaganza is one to behold!
Rehearsals were in full flight downstairs on six pianos in the Theme & Variations workroom, while the Eggner Trio (presented by Musica Viva) performed directly above in the showroom upstairs to a select group of guests.
Never too many pianists… with Kenneth Tong, Andrew Rumsey, Ara Vartoukian, Joshua Creek, James Huntingford, Olivia Urbaniak, John Luxton and Gabriella Pusner.
Never too many pianos… with Essex, Steinway, Boston, Yamaha and Bernardt-Steiner
The three brothers Eggner Trio – Georg (violin), Florian (cello), and Christoph (piano) – the trio regularly performs in such distinguished venues as Wigmore Hall in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. They delighted their audience in our showroom yesterday. Thank you Carl Vine and Musica Viva!
