All in a Day’s (heavy) Work!

What many of us don’t realise, is that pianos are often quite heavy!  It sounds obvious when said aloud, but I’m sure many have asked themselves “how did they get a piano up there?”.  The truth of the matter is that just like in any other field, you need to find experts  with the experience who you can trust to do the job properly.

Many pianos are damaged each year due to inexperienced removalists attempting to move these very heavy, often cumbersome instruments.  Not only are pianos hundreds of kilograms in weight, but many have delicate finishes on them (such as polyester gloss or matte mahogany) which can damage easily.  Repairing these damages can be costly and can be avoided with the right piano removalists.

At the end of the day, these pianos don’t move themselves, but as piano specialists we do recommend researching the right piano movers for you!  For any questions on removal of your upright or grand piano, don’t hesitate to contact us on or call (02) 9958 9888.
