Commercial Road Chamber Music Series (CRCMS)

The CRCMS is committed to bringing first-rate classical chamber music to the community in a way that is accessible and exciting. It is a unique series in two ways:
Firstly, it is the only year-long Brisbane music series not directly connected with a company or institution that is dedicated to primarily supporting chamber music.

Secondly, there is an emphasis on showcasing young professional musicians from Australia, and in particular, artists from Brisbane.

The series is held at 60 Commercial Road, Newstead, headquarters of Theme & Variations Piano Services in Queensland. The venue has a capacity of 80 which offers the intimate feel that chamber music was originally written for.

Launched in December 2010, the Series offers workshops, information sessions and Emerging Artists recitals on Friday nights or Saturday and Sunday afternoons. To complete the experience, there are many dining and bar options within walking distance such as the precincts at James Street, Emporium and Teneriffe.
