Piano Tuning, Regulation and Voicing

We promote excellence in pianos, and therefore our technicians are all given the opportunity to further their knowledge by training at the Steinway Academy at Steinway & Sons Hamburg. Pianos in private residences should ideally be tuned twice a year or once a year at a minimum. On top of tuning, pianos also need regulation and voicing. Regulation helps to improve the touch of the keyboard and should result in an even and smooth feel when playing. Voicing is the manipulation of hammers which sets and evens out the tone of a piano. Our technicians can let you know during a tuning service if your piano might need a regulation or voicing. All our new pianos come with two complimentary services that include tuning, regulation and voicing.
