As we are in Townsville throughout the end of July and first weekend in August with the Australian Concerto & Vocal Competition and the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, we would like to alert you about this informative workshop evening we are holding in Townsville.
Theme & Variations Piano Services is a family operated piano business. Transporting over a dozen pianos to Townsville each year is a major operation and requires a lot of logistical planning. The majority of pianos are housed at the V8 Pit Building near the Civic Theatre.
This year, we are holding a piano & music information night at the V8 Pit Building on Tuesday 30th of July, starting at 7:30pm. This free educational workshop focuses on the importance of looking after your piano, as well as a behind the scenes breakdown of how an acoustic piano works. The event will be open to the public and would be most suited to students and families and their teachers. Enthusiasts of the piano would find this talk fascinating as well. Various incentives and prizes will be offered to attendees!
Ara Vartoukian is the piano technician for the Australian Festival of Chamber Music. For over 30 years, he has developed a reputation for offering one of the highest levels of service whether it be for a piano in a living room, practice room or the concert hall. Ara has trained at and visited numerous piano factories around the world and taught at piano technology courses and guild conventions.
We look forward to seeing you there.
