Theme & Variations is pleased to invite you to the return in 2021 of our Emerging Artists recital series. We begin on March 21 at 2pm, giving three promising young pianists the exciting opportunity to prepare and perform a solo piano recital on our concert grand.
This year we are stepping into new directions. Things have changed somewhat due to COVID-19 and its restrictions. We’ll have an audience, but a smaller one. We’ll be socially distanced. We will apply NSW Public Health Orders as they relate to concerts and performing to maintain a COVID-19 safe environment. And our performances will also be streamed live.

Please arrive in plenty of time at 1.30 and observe rules about increased hygiene.
- Guests – pianists, teachers and parents – will be expected to scan the QR code on arrival and will be expected to adhere to physical distancing guidelines within the showroom.
- Guests in the audience will be expected to bring and wear facemasks.
- Seating will be distanced appropriately.
- Pianists will be expected to sanitise their hands.
- The piano will be wiped down between performances.
